A local company developing a system for at-home blood testing has received another boost.

Verv Technologies announced late last week that it is receiving advisory services and up to $140,000 in funding from the National Research Council of Canada, through its Industrial Research Assistance Program.  

“This funding will support a research and development project to assist Verv in further technological advancements of the Verv Vi prototype,” the company said. “This prototype will be the first of its kind and will enable consumers to test and analyze their blood at home.”

The Sudbury-based health tech startup specializes in the delivery of in-home consumer blood testing.
